Think your boat's upholstery fasteners are stainless steel?

Not Always.  Shops don't always remove the old upholstery, either.
This job was by Kustom Trim in Tucson, Arizona.
Even though this shop specializes in boats, the owner said
he has NEVER used stainless staples, and NEVER WILL.

Let the buyer beware!

In locations where the old upholstery was left in place, the
original stainless staples underneath are still fine, while on
these cushions, many of the the steel staples used for the new
upholstery have dissolved completely.  Other locations
show various degrees of rusting out, but ALL of them will
have to be replaced.  Know what you are buying.
